In Living Death released their rough-sounding debut album Vengeance of Hell which, despite poor production quality, sold well in all independent charts. Living Death then went on tour in support of Warlock ; after which they fired drummer Harald Lutze and replaced him with Andreas Overhoff.

I have a old tape of "Vengeance in hell" but his level recording is very poor. Now in CD I can enjoy this jewel. Musically Living Death was a pioneer of speed and trash metal of 80's. Living Death might be better considered a speed and power metal infiltration squad who latched onto the thrash medium a few years into their development, but there's no real argument that even this debut album, Vengeance of Hell, contained the raw and rugged guitars and aggression comparable to old Metallica or their closer kin in Destruction.
